Responsible for directing all activities of the heart failure, cardiovascular rescue and recovery, aortic center, and structural heart programs as well as the cardiovascular clinical specialists. Oversees the implementation of high-quality, cost-effective patient care through strategic development, goals and objectives. Manages the seamless flow and operations of cardiac services. Coordinates resources to fulfill objectives like marketing strategy, revenue cycle, physician referral relations, patient satisfaction targets, market share growth, and overall quality improvement.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Directs the development of short and long-term projects, program growth strategy, and plans to achieve the cardiac program goals and objectives.
2. Develops and ensures maintenance of standard procedures, while corroborating compliance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and policies.
3. Strengthens communication within the unit to engage medical leaders in department planning, evaluation, and performance.
4. Elicits feedback from patients, family members, and guardians regarding quality of care delivery and ensures prompt resolution of patient issues, queries and questions through relevant staff.
5. Provides oversight for all cardiology functions including capital oversight and service line growth and communicates budgetary variances and progress in budget revenue performance.
6. Reviews comprehensiveness of programs on a continuous basis and develops plans for program adaptation to changes.
7. Develops support systems for identification, evaluation, and recommendations related to staffing and procurement.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
