Description

OPENTEXT - THE INFORMATION COMPANY

OpenText is a global leader in information management, where innovation, creativity, and collaboration are the key components of our corporate culture. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to partner with the most highly regarded companies in the world, tackle complex issues, and contribute to projects that shape the future of digital transformation.

AI-First. Future-Driven. Human-Centered.

At OpenText, AI is at the heart of everything we do-powering innovation, transforming work, and empowering digital knowledge workers. We are hiring talent AI can't replace to help us shape the future of information management. Join us.

This Director leads global campaign programs - around 14 people across Canada, the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom, spanning campaign marketing, intent-based orchestration and paid media. Those groups do not report to one leader today. Bringing them together under a single operating model, one set of standards and one accountable pipeline number is the central mandate of this role, and it happens during a period of real change across marketing and across our relationship with Sales.

Your Impact:

  • Build the team. Set the operating model, roles, standards and priorities across three groups that operate separately today.
  • Own paid media strategy and budget. Search, paid social, programmatic and syndication across business unit, cross-business-unit and portfolio campaigns. Decide where the money goes, move it when the evidence says to, and hold specialists and partners accountable to efficiency and pipeline return.
  • Own the agency relationship. Set briefs, quality standards and performance expectations - and change partners if the work does not hold up.
  • Own the pipeline number. Establish and report sourced and influenced pipeline using one consistent measurement approach across every campaign type.
  • Lead integrated campaign planning and execution. Business unit, cross-business-unit and whole-portfolio campaigns, each tied to product portfolio growth priorities and to measurable pipeline.
  • Direct the 6Sense practice. Buying group identification, intent scoring and orchestration. Operate the current MQL waterfall model while leading the transition to account-based qualification.

What The Role Offers:

  • Genuine scope from day one: a global team across four countries and three disciplines, and the mandate to design how it works rather than inherit it.
  • A paid media budget you own outright, and a media agency partnership being established now that you will shape and hold to standard.
  • A team with real existing depth, including experienced 6Sense practitioners who run that practice day to day.
  • Committed support through the consolidation. Your manager is directly involved in the organizational work through your first two quarters.
  • Work across marketing operations (within RevOps), field marketing, corporate marketing and product marketing - different relationships that run in different modes and knowing which is which is much of the job.
  • An honest brief. Consolidating three teams at this scale is rare experience, and we are looking for judgment about sequencing.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Five or more years in B2B campaign or demand marketing at a software or technology company, including at least two years managing people directly - direct reports, not matrixed influence.
  • Direct ownership of a paid media budget across at least two of search, paid social, programmatic and syndication, including mid-quarter reallocation decisions you can speak to and what they returned.
  • Experience managing agency partners: setting the brief, holding them to a standard, and changing or ending a relationship that was not working.
  • Ownership of a pipeline number and the measurement model behind it, including separating sourced from influenced.
  • Strong operating discipline - process design, measurement rigor and consistent execution across a distributed team.
  • Comfort defining structure and owning decisions in a high-change environment, including working closely with Sales through significant transition.

Also valuable, and not expected in combination:

  • Fluency with 6Sense or a comparable intent and orchestration platform.
  • Running MQL waterfall and account-based qualification, through the transition between them.
  • Campaign leadership across a multi-brand or multi-business-unit portfolio.
  • Managing a team across multiple countries and time zones.
