The Director, Business Integration leads the South Central Division's acquisition due diligence and post-close integration efforts, serving as the central program leader from bid acceptance through Day-1 and business stabilization and ultimately transition to permanent business and functional owners. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, surfaces risks, drives decisions, and builds repeatable due diligence and integration practices that protect deal value and minimize disruption. This is a PMO-style leadership role for an enterprise orchestrator who can connect strategy, operations, people, processes, systems, data, and execution.

    What You Will Do

    Support acquisition due diligence

    • Bring together Operations, Finance, Accounting, Commercial, HR, IT, EHS, Procurement, Legal, Risk, Insurance, Tax, Environmental, Property, and other specialists to evaluate the target business.
    • Consolidate findings into a clear view of material risks, business impacts, resource needs, and mitigation plans, escalating unresolved issues for timely decisions.
    • Translate diligence findings into Day 1 requirements, first-100-day priorities, and longer-term integration actions.

Design and lead the integration roadmap

    • Create scalable integration plans tailored to each transaction's size, complexity, geography, business line, systems environment, and strategic objectives.
    • Define phases, milestones, owners, dependencies, decision rights, resource requirements, costs, and success measures.
    • Lead Day 1 readiness, first-100-day execution, stabilization, and the transition of responsibilities to permanent owners.
    • Maintain and continuously improve the division's integration playbook, tools, templates, and governance routines.

    Drive cross-functional integration execution

    • Assemble and lead integration teams with the appropriate subject matter expertise.
    • Facilitate integration governance, workstream reviews, executive updates, and decision forums.
    • Drive accountability across a matrixed organization, resolve resource conflicts, and proactively escalate risks, delays, and competing priorities.
    • Maintain clear project documentation, including plans, status reporting, decision logs, risk registers, and action trackers.

Coordinate systems, data, and process integration

    • Partner with business and functional leaders to coordinate systems, applications, data, reporting, controls, and process transitions.
    • Connect local business needs with CRH and AMAT standards while protecting business continuity and addressing legitimate operating requirements.
    • Coordinate cutover readiness, interim solutions, user communication, training, and stabilization activities.
    • Serve as the South Central Division's dedicated point of contact into the AMAT SAP program, with final accountability aligned to the Finance Integration Lead and central program team.

Support value realization and change adoption

    • Translate transaction value drivers and synergies into measurable initiatives, milestones, owners, and reporting.
    • Partner with Finance and business leaders to monitor progress, address gaps, and keep integration activity aligned with the approved deal rationale.
    • Coordinate change management and communication plans that help acquired-company leaders and employees understand and adopt new ways of working.
    • Act as a positive ambassador for CRH while respecting the strengths, relationships, and culture of the acquired business.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
    • Ten or more years of progressive experience in business integration, M&A, transformation, project or program management, operations, finance, technology, or a related field.
    • At least five years of experience leading acquisition integration, merger integration, enterprise transformation, ERP implementation, or comparably complex cross-functional programs.
    • Experience coordinating senior leaders and subject matter experts across a matrixed organization and managing multiple time-sensitive initiatives.
    • Strong understanding of core business processes, enterprise systems, program management disciplines, and change leadership.
    • Executive-level communication, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
    • Ability to influence without direct authority, challenge assumptions constructively, and maintain sound judgment under pressure.
    • Ability to travel regularly across the South Central Division, with increased travel during diligence, closing, and major integration milestones.

    Preferred Experience

    • MBA or other relevant advanced degree; project, program, or change-management certification.
    • Direct accountability for both pre-close due diligence and post-close integration.
    • SAP or other large-scale ERP implementation experience.
    • Experience in construction materials, manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or another asset-intensive, multi-site environment.
    • Knowledge of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, paving, or construction services.
    • Experience developing integration playbooks, governance frameworks, training, and standardized program-management tools.

    How Success Will Be Measured

    • Due diligence is completed thoroughly and on schedule, with material findings, decisions, and mitigations clearly communicated before closing.
    • Day 1 and first-100-day milestones are defined, owned, and achieved with minimal disruption to operations.
    • Integration risks, dependencies, resources, costs, and decisions remain visible and proactively managed.
    • Systems, data, processes, controls, and reporting are transitioned effectively and stabilized before handoff.
    • Transaction value drivers and synergies are translated into measurable actions and monitored with business and Finance leaders.
    • Acquired-company leaders and employees receive clear communication and effective change support.
    • Lessons learned strengthen the division's integration capability for future acquisitions.
