IDEX Corporation is seeking a Director to identify and evaluate the enterprise's most attractive growth pathway across its portfolio of industrial platforms. This role supports the development of IDEX's acquisition pipeline and the business case for where and how the enterprise should expand, working in close partnership with corporate, segment and business leadership. This individual will develop a view on market size, market structure, competitive landscape, value proposition, commercial potential, and other critical factors for potential targets, and translate that into a business case. The ideal candidate will also conduct deep-dive research into market dynamics, growth trends, and competitive landscapes, expand this analysis into products and technologies, and synthesize their findings into high-impact white papers and strategic presentations for the executive leadership team. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with team members to review actionable growth opportunities, including sourcing and screening of acquisition targets and supporting the evaluation of live transactions. This is a high-visibility role that directly informs capital deployment decisions at the enterprise level.

_Enterprise Growth Analysis_

+ Map whitespaces, adjacencies, and expansion opportunities across and beyond IDEX's current businesses + Assess market structure, growth rates, and competitive dynamics to distinguish durable opportunities

_Acquisition Sourcing & Pipeline Development_

+ Support the build of IDEX's enterprise-wide acquisition pipeline across near-, mid-, and long-term horizons + Source, screen, and prioritize targets against strategic fit (market dynamics, competitive moat, including product/technology differentiation) and financial attractiveness + Develop investment theses and target profiles, as needed, to support leadership decision-making on where to deploy capital

_Transaction Support & Diligence_

+ Compile a bottoms-up view of the commercial potential of a target business through due diligence and application of other frameworks/tools + Lead aspects of commercial diligence on active opportunities to support valuation and financial modeling + Synthesize diligence findings into clear, decision-ready materials for senior leadership and the board

_Executive & Cross-Functional Partnership_

+ Serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership on growth and capital deployment + Coordinate across finance, commercial, and business teams to pressure-test opportunities and align on priorities + Prepare and present findings to the executive leadership team and support board-level materials

Required Qualifications:

+ 10+ years of experience in business due diligence (supporting M&A) and corporate strategy within industrial, advanced-manufacturing, or diversified multi-platform businesses + Strong command of market dynamics/sizing, competitive landscape, voice of customer feedback, and mapping key business drivers + Proven ability to synthesize complex, ambiguous inputs into clear, decision-ready recommendations for senior audiences + Experience partnering with executives, GMs, and cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment + Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred

Preferred Attributes:

+ Background in B2B industrial, advanced manufacturing, or dynamic technology markets + Familiarity with market intelligence platforms, competitive analysis frameworks. M&A transaction processes, and Voice of Customer (VoC) tools + Experience supporting strategic M&A or portfolio expansion initiatives. + Comfortable working in ambiguous, high-impact, and fast-paced environments. Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $158,600.00 - $237,800.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
