POSITION SUMMARY:

This leadership role will facilitate the evaluation and business planning of Domestic and International business growth initiatives for the UDX business line; including theme parks, hotels, water parks, entertainment venues, and prospective growth opportunities. This influential role will specifically focus on market, country and competitive business research, feasibility analysis, complex financial and capital investment analysis including a variety of ownership structures, real estate selection and deal term evaluation, and senior executive-level presentation development and communications.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

New Ventures, Business Line Development and Expansion Support

  • Collaborate with and lead numerous functional teams across a matrix organization (e.g., New Ventures, Finance, Operations, Consumer Insights, Industrial Engineering, Creative (Architecture and Construction), Legal, Gov Relations, M&S, Real Estate Planning, etc.) to develop comprehensive, analytical driven business plans.
  • Build, manage and oversee investment analyses and financial models (IRR models, debt vs. equity analysis, JV structures, etc.) with a focus on the valuation of new business lines, expansion projects and capital investments.
  • Support real estate site selection, evaluation, diligence, negotiation, and transaction documentation activities.
  • Develop presentations on business growth opportunities to effectively communicate analytical support, insights, and recommendations to key business stakeholders and senior executive leadership.
  • Research and monitor competitive environment, industry trends, and perform due diligence. Conduct research on a variety of business topics, industry and economic trends, and business models and transactions.
  • Develop and foster key relationships across the organization with the focus on building cross-functional expertise and gaining alignment on new initiatives and strategies in support of cohesive long-term growth.
  • Build, develop and continuously improve new and existing business evaluation tools, models, processes, and templates.
  • Support leases and licenses for various business entities through ongoing performance analysis and deal structuring.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Economics, or other related field required.
  • Master’s degree in business or equivalent, is strongly preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of experience in business growth, expansion and development, corporate growth strategy, consulting, financial and capital investment planning and analysis;
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Experience in a tourism or an adjacent industry a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to respond and adapt to multiple projects and requests with short notice and multi-task across a broad range of projects with differing fact patterns.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with history of producing executive presentations, research briefs, and business plans.
  • Advanced quantitative analysis skills including ability to identify desired data for a given analysis, conduct complex analyses, and extract key insights.
  • Strong ability to work across the organization collaboratively and timely.
