POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for managing the program area's planning/scope/design development activities in accordance with agency standards/guidelines/policies and procedures to deliver timely, cost effective, and high-quality facility-oriented projects to clients. Work with C&D and internal/external clients to ensure that design practices conform to program plans/guidelines. Oversee the development of needs assessments and condition assessments for the MTA's 20 Year Needs Assessment/Five-Year Capital Programs. Establish performance measures with respect to key design goals of quality, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness. Work with Facilities senior management to obtain in-house staff/consultant resources for delivering capital projects. Work closely with internal stakeholders at C&D, and MTAHQ, to ensure success in obtaining approval and retention of funding.
