Director Ambulatory Surgery Centers

Director of Ambulatory Surgery Centers Summary

• Participate in planning, policy development, and priority setting for all BayCare Outpatient Surgery Centers.
• Ensure that Outpatient Surgical Services and other assigned clinical areas have policies that are consistent with the overall goals of the health system.
• Ensure compliance in the provision of care to quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a competent workforce adhering to regulatory guidelines (financial, employment, AHCA/JCAHO, and established national standards of care).
• Collaborate with other directors, administrators, medical staff, and departments to provide and maintain optimal services in a cost-effective manner.
• Promote evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Experience

• 5 years of surgical-related experience
• 5 years of management experience or 3 years of surgery management experience

Education

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field
• Preferred: Master's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field

Credentials

• Required: Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC)
• Required: Valid Florida Driver's License
• Preferred: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
