Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Admissions, the Director of Alumni & Career Services provides leadership, subject-matter expertise, administrative oversight, and direction for alumni and career services operations.
This role is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of alumni and career services, programs, and events. Additionally, the Director provides administrative oversight to continuing education and professional licensure preparation programs, the Student Ambassador Program, and the London Summer Program.
This position supports, as necessary, new student recruitment and enrollment activities across all programs and campus locations. Periodic travel, weekend, and evening work required.
Essential Functions
Designs, develops, and implements comprehensive alumni and career service programs, activities, and strategies to increase short and long-term alumni engagement and volunteer opportunities
Oversees MSW professional licensure preparation services and programs.
Oversees the administration and logistics of continuing education offerings, ensuring GSS compliance as a continuing education provider.
Assists the Director of Marketing and Communications and the Fordham Office of Alumni Relations in cultivating and expanding GSS alumni relations.
Provides leadership and administrative oversight to the GSS Student Ambassador Program
Collaborates with faculty and the Director of Student Services in the administration and logistics of the GSS London Summer Program
Supports new student recruitment and enrollment initiatives across all degree programs and campus locations. This includes participating in events, organizing Information Sessions, and engaging with potential students.
Assist the Admissions Office in evaluating, conducting interviews, and making determinations regarding applications
Represents Admissions, alumni relations, and career development functions within the University and to external stakeholders, including national organizations and local community partners, to enhance institutional visibility.

Develops clear, effective, and diplomatic communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Functions Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
Master's of Social Work degree.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in social work education, admissions, and/or social work administration/leadership.
