Job Details

Oversees the Jefferson Moss-Magee Admissions to Inpatient Rehabilitation including oversight of patient admissions, referral management, intake coordination and census development. The Director ensures efficient patient access, regulatory compliance, strong referral relationships, and achievement of organizational growth objectives while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care. The Director collaborates closely with hospital case management teams, physicians, nursing leadership, therapy departments and payers to optimize the admissions processes.

Job Description

Summary

Oversees the Jefferson Moss-Magee Admissions to Inpatient Rehabilitation including oversight of patient admissions, referral management, intake coordination and census development. The Director ensures efficient patient access, regulatory compliance, strong referral relationships, and achievement of organizational growth objectives while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care. The Director collaborates closely with hospital case management teams, physicians, nursing leadership, therapy departments and payers to optimize the admissions processes.

Job Duties

  • Direct daily operations of the admissions and intake department for the acute inpatient rehabilitation at Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation.
  • Oversees patient referral review, clinical screening, financial clearance and admission coordination
  • Monitors bed management, census targets, and patient flow metrics
  • Develop and implement standardized admission workflows and best practices
  • Ensures compliance with CMS regulations, The Joint Commission, CARF and other Regulatory Bodies
  • Monitor Referral trends and changes
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with referral sources to facilitate timely transition of care to inpatient rehabilitation.
  • Responsible for Workforce strategy and fiscal planning
  • Design, write, and implement corporate policies that ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risk, and standardize operational workflows.
  • Identify key P&L drivers, monitor ROI on initiatives, and evaluate financial performance against established baselines.
  • Actively identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase overall profitability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • 5 years experience in administrative role, intake, or business development
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in healthcare administration Preferred

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
