We are seeking a caring Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to a young adult in their home and community. This is more than a caregiving job—you’ll help someone stay active, participate in the community, build connections, and develop greater independence while enjoying meaningful experiences throughout the day.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide respectful, person-centered assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
    • Provide seizure awareness, monitoring, and response according to established protocols
    • Stay actively engaged throughout the day—not simply completing care tasks
    • Support community activities, errands, appointments, and social outings
    • Encourage movement, wellness, independence, dignity, and choice
    • Help build and strengthen community connections and natural supports
    • Communicate appropriately with family regarding routines, health, activities, and needs
    • Provide a safe, positive, and supportive environment
    SCHEDULE – PART-TIME

    • Mondays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • Every Other Weekend: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • Every Other Weekend: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
    • Additional hours may be available based on scheduling needs.
    QUALIFICATIONS

    • CNA certification is a plus!
    • Experience with seizure care preferred; training will be provided
    • Experience with individuals with disabilities or in-home care preferred
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle in good working condition required
    • Comfortable driving to community activities and outings
    • Dependable and able to commit to the agreed-upon schedule
    • Compassionate, patient, professional, and comfortable providing hands-on support
    Compensation: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
