What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll provide compassionate, person-centered support that promotes independence, safety, and quality of life for individuals receiving services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation
  • Encourage independence while supporting each individual's personal goals and preferences
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful home environment
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' health, behaviors, or overall well-being
  • Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, and activities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and team members to provide comprehensive support
  • Provide dependable coverage across programs and shifts based on staffing needs

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Previous experience in medical, caregiving, healthcare, DSP, CNA, PCA, or related fields preferred but not required
  • Dependable, compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to adapt to different schedules, environments, and resident needs
