- Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Job Overview
We are seeking an active, patient, and engaging Direct Support Professional to work one-on-one with a 29-year-old man. This rewarding role blends daily physical exercise, community outings, and skill-building. The goal is to help him stay active, explore community activities, and prepare for future paid employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Active Community Outings: Accompany him on trips to the library, local gym, museums, and occasional local field trips.
- Recreation & Sports: Participate in walking, biking, kayaking, and quarterly New England Healing Sports Association (NESHA) or other sporting activities.
- Daily Routines: Support daily exercise routines, assist during a weekly volunteer cleaning job, and packed lunches.
- Behavioral Support: Implement his established safety plan. Identify anxiety triggers (heat, hunger, thirst, noise) and utilize tools like noise-canceling headphones.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer scheduled medications (Medication and Safety Care Training required.) Certification provided by MDS.
Direct Support Professional minimum qualifications include:

Schedule is flexible, including weekday and/or weekend hours.
