What You'll Do

As a DSP, you'll serve as a mentor, teacher, and advocate while respecting each person's choices, preferences, and goals. Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting daily living skills, routines, and personal care
  • Helping individuals access their communities and participate in meaningful activities
  • Assisting with medical appointments
  • Encouraging social connections and positive peer interactions
  • Supporting recreational activities and personal interests
  • Promoting health, safety, independence, and self-advocacy

What We're Looking For

  • Strong communication and teamwork
  • A willingness to learn and support each person's individual needs

Requirements

  • At least 21 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation and a valid California driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Weekend availability as part of a rotating schedule

Previous experience in caregiving, direct support, or human services is a plus.
