Description

Direct Support Professional I

  • Direct Support Professional (DSP) ASPiRE!, an Affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation Provide direct support to individuals served, assisting with personal care activities, fostering independence, and contributing to their overall well-being in a safe and engaging environment.

Pay: $20.50/hr

Schedule: Monday through Friday 730a-330p

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized care and support aligned with individual Plans of Care.
  • Assist participants with personal care needs such as dining, toileting, mobility, and transfers.
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to implement positive behavioral supports.
  • Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate group and individual activities.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy program environment.
  • Transport participants as assigned, including stepping in to drive when needed.
  • Foster growth and independence by teaching skills, encouraging choices, and respecting individuality.
  • Maintain participant privacy, dignity, and cultural appropriateness in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
  • Standard driver's license (Class C or D).
  • 1-3 years of related experience preferred.
  • Completion of healthcare training or competency evaluation program preferred.
  • Alternative qualifications: A high school diploma and one year of related activities experience, or a relevant college degree with the ability to complete onsite competency training.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
  • Activity planning and recreational skills.
  • Health and safety protocols to ensure participant well-being.
  • Assistance with daily living activities such as personal hygiene and mobility.
  • Team collaboration and strong communication skills.
  • Basic first aid knowledge and the ability to address minor emergencies.
