Responsibilities:- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Implement person centered plan and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and other duties assigned relating to the supported individual
- Encourage skill-building, independence, and community integration
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
- Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges using approved support strategies
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification, DDA Core Training, MANDT, and Bloodborne Pathogen (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Genuine empathy and commitment to person-centered care
