Direct Support Professional DSP

The Caregiver provides compassionate and consistent support to adult individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities. Working within a care team, the caregiver helps ensure clients' comfort, safety, and well-being through personal care, medication assistance, meal preparation, and health monitoring documenting their progress. This role involves responsibilities with specific shifts, occasionally accompanying care recipients on community outings while adhering to agency protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance
• Administer medications according to instructions
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe environment
• Monitor health and report changes to care team
• Support care recipient during occasional community travel
• Work within care team support structure following agency protocols

Required Qualifications

• Background check
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in patient care and medication management
• Basic cooking skills for meal preparation
• Housekeeping abilities
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Valid drivers license - good driving record

Needed Qualifications

• One or more years of caregiving experience
