About the Role:GOWO Affordable Care LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Madison, TN. Responsibilities:- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and social outings
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions per established care plans
- Encourage skill-building, independence, and community integration
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and person-centered approach to care
