Job description:

We are seeking caring, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team Burnsville Mn.   DSPs provide daily support to residents in a home-like assisted living setting by assisting with personal care, medication administration/reminders, meal preparation, activities, and emotional support.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, building meaningful relationships, and making a positive impact every day.





Role Responsibilities: (Include but are not limited to)


  • Support individuals in independent living skills 
  • Support individuals in mental health management through identifying coping skills, practicing coping skills, and alternative methods.
  • Teach and model community integration skills such as: self-managing medications, managing personal finances, appropriate interpersonal interactions, managing the public transportation system, completing the necessary tasks to maintain a home, and accessing community resources.
  • Interacts informally with individuals to facilitate socialization and appropriate behavior.
  • Participates in scheduled recreational events.
  • Teaches healthy living habits and develops the accompanying skills.
Role Responsibilities: (Include but are not limited to)

        
  • Light housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the kitchen, washing dishes, among other chores.
  • Going to activities and places in the community which may include appointments as needed.
  • Preparing meals.
  • Washing laundry and linens.
  • Making and changing the bed.
  • Staff is occasionally required to carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Complete required 245D trainings upon hire and an annual basis.
  • Other duties listed in person support plan.
  • Medication administration




  • Must be at least 18 years or older.
  • Pass a DHS background study.
  • Maintaining high level of clients confidentiality, adhering to all HIPPA regulations.
  • Valid Driver's License, Full coverage insurance, Reliable vehicle
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Fluent in English language.
  • Must be trustworthy, reliable, and willing to work entire shifts fulfilling all obligations
  • Interpersonal skills: sensitivity and compassion towards clients.
Job Type: Part-time-2 positions
Every Tuesday 7a-3p, Thursday and Friday 7a-3p Pay range $16-$18 hr DOE
Every Tuesday 3p-11p and every Thursday 3p-11p
