About the Role:Golden Heart Advocacy LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Tewksbury, NJ. This is a rewarding part-time opportunity (25 hours per week) to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support. If you have a passion for helping others and want to be part of a mission-driven organization, we want to hear from you! The individual resides in Tewksbury, NJ. You would support him Monday-Friday 9am-2pm.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Support individuals in community integration activities and social engagement
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Administer medications and follow health care protocols as directed
- Transport and accompany clients to appointments, errands, and recreational activities
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, or in a related field preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation strongly preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Ability to work a consistent 25-hour per week schedule, including possible evenings or weekends
