    Full-time, 40 hours/week

    Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

    Hybrid remote (requires 6-12 days/month onsite Akron)

    Summary:The Direct Response Specialist has the primary responsibility to create, implement and manage direct response program within the Foundation that generates $2 million annually, using all broadcast communication mediums to solicit donors, including but not limited to direct mail, email, mobile mediums, text messaging, and phone. This position works with the Development Operations team and will help to identify prospects/donors in an effort to move individuals and corporations along the fund-raising pipeline and transform them into Major Donors. This person will be tasked with building and managing a portfolio of prospects/donors with higher gift potential and through one on one relationship building efforts to increase giving levels to Akron Children's Hospital.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Must be able to work with data analytics to reach and solicit maximum number of donors

    2. Will work with social media vehicles and have familiarity with social media fundraising.

    3. Responsible for broadcast solicitation communications for Annual Fund.

    4. Responsible for Children's Miracle Network and any other initiatives the Foundation chooses to put focus on throughout the year.

    5. Responsible for analyzing and reviewing data from constituent record to determine and recommend new trends and approaches to maximize direct response efforts.

    6. Must proactively benchmark and research upcoming solicitation communication trends with Woodmark Hospitals as well as other healthcare organizations.

    7. Other duties as required.

    Technical Expertise

    1. Experience with Excel

    2. Experience with donor database, preferably Raiser's Edge.

    3. Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred.

    4. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. HRIS is preferred. Benefits Carrier platforms is required.

    Education and Experience

    1. Education: Bachelor's Degree preferably in development, business, marketing, or public relations.

    2. Certification: None.

    3. Years of experience: minimum of 3 years successful annual fund and/or major gift fund raising.

    4. Years of experience supervising: None.
