Senior Electrical Engineer – Pipeline & Facilities

Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership and engineering support for critical liquids pipeline, pump station, terminal, and facility infrastructure across the United States.

In this role, you’ll support both day-to-day pipeline operations and expansion and maintenance capital projects, helping ensure electrical systems and facilities operate safely, reliably, and in accordance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry codes.

This opportunity is especially well suited for an engineer who combines electrical power systems expertise with hands-on oil & gas pipeline/facility experience and is comfortable serving as a senior technical resource.

What You’ll Do

• Provide electrical engineering leadership and technical support for liquids pipeline operations across the U.S.
• Support the development and execution of pipeline facility expansion and maintenance capital projects.
• Lead technical discussions and help resolve complex electrical engineering and operational issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, safety, and operational performance.
• Provide technical expertise involving power systems, pipeline facilities, pump stations, terminal facilities, and associated electrical equipment.
• Support Engineering Services initiatives aligned with strategic objectives and long-range planning activities.
• Ensure engineering work complies with applicable U.S. regulatory requirements, industry codes, company standards, and engineering specifications.
• Manage and respond to regulatory information requests and audits.
• Evaluate and help advance new technologies that can improve pipeline and facility performance.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Operations Engineering team members and technical specialists.
• Collaborate across engineering, operations, project teams, and other stakeholders while managing multiple priorities.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Electrical Engineering background preferred, ideally with a power engineering/power systems focus
• 6+ years of oil & gas industry experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of:
  • Electrical power systems
  • Power system modeling
  • Pipeline operations
  • Pump stations
  • Terminal facilities
  • Related pipeline and facility technologies
• Strong understanding of U.S. oil & gas regulatory requirements and applicable industry codes and standards
• Ability to independently evaluate complex engineering issues and develop practical technical solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) registration
• Direct liquids pipeline and pipeline facilities experience
• Experience supporting maintenance and expansion capital projects
• Power system modeling and analysis experience
• Experience with SKM
• Experience supporting regulatory audits and information requests
• Previous technical leadership or mentoring experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and related engineering/documentation tools

What Will Make You Stand Out

A background that combines oil & gas pipeline experience with strong electrical power systems expertise will be particularly valuable in this position. Direct experience supporting the electrical infrastructure associated with pump stations, terminals, and other pipeline facilities is especially relevant.

Work Environment & Travel

• Primarily office-based
• Approximately 10–15% travel
• Some work may take place at pipeline or facility sites
• PPE may be required when visiting worksite locations
• Ability to work effectively in both office and field environments
