Manufacturing Documentation Specialist

Salary: $50,000–$72,000/year DOE
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–4:15 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Job Summary

Responsible for managing and maintaining manufacturing documentation in an EMS environment, including BOMs, Gerber files, assembly drawings, work/test instructions, product data, and engineering changes. Works closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management to ensure accurate, compliant, and production-ready documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage BOMs, Gerber files, assembly drawings, work instructions, and test documentation.
• Create and maintain product and revision-specific manufacturing documentation.
• Coordinate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and document revisions.
• Create manufacturing assembly drawings and generate machine programming data from CAD files.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and compliant documentation.
• Support new product launches, production schedules, and documentation releases.
• Ensure compliance with IPC, ISO 9001, RoHS, and customer requirements.
• Support audits and improve document control processes and systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of documentation or product data experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Understanding of circuit board design, components, and polarity.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IPC, and RoHS standards.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP Business One preferred.
• Experience with CAD/documentation software such as AutoCAD or GC Prevue.
• Aegis FactoryLogix experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
