Overview:

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse for Employee Occupational Health.

Shift: Days - 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

PRN/Flexi

Workdays: Monday - Friday

No Weekends

License and Certification

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

Education

  • RN-Associate’s Degree, or

  • RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or

  • RN-Diploma, or

  • RN-Master’s Degree

This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Responsibilities

  • Conducts preplacement (new hire) visits/clearance

  • Conducts annual health screenings on all Sentara colleagues

  • Ensures Colleagues are up to date and in compliance with Sentara’s immunization and disease prevention policy

  • Provides clearances for return to works

  • Conducts RFT (respiratory fit testing) for colleagues who require N95 mask

  • Manages work related exposures (bloodborne exposures/infectious disease exposures)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of Registered Nurse - Med/Surg, Acute Care, Clinic

  • 2-3 years of Registered Nurse - Employee Occupational Services
