Ability Beyond is hiring Direct Care Professionals for our residential programs throughout the Greater Bristol area. Meet with our hiring team, learn about available opportunities, and interview in person!

JOB FAIR DETAILS:

Date: Wednesday, November 11, 2026

Time: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM

Location: 225 North Main Street, Bristol, CT

JOB OPPORTUNITIES:

Locations: Greater Bristol Area

Schedules: Guaranteed set schedules available, including second and third shifts, as well as weekends.

Pay: $19.00-$19.50 per hour

As a Direct Care Professional, you will support adults with intellectual, developmental, physical, and behavioral health needs in both residential and community settings. You will play an important role in helping individuals build life skills, achieve personal goals, and remain active in their communities while being part of a supportive and mission-driven team!

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and medication reminders as needed.
• Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as budgeting, communication, and meal planning.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and volunteer activities such as fitness, crafts, Special Olympics, and community events.
• Implement behavioral support strategies and use de-escalation techniques when needed.
• Collaborate with nurses, behaviorists, nutritionists, and other clinical team members to provide well-rounded care.
• Assist with goal planning, progress tracking, and skill development.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and daily activities.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to learn. No prior experience is required, and paid training is provided.
