About the Role:Altum Care Homes in Southfield, MI is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Professional to join our team. Responsibilities:- Provide hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition
- Implement individualized care plans and document resident progress accurately
- Administer medications as directed and in accordance with care guidelines
- Foster a safe, supportive, and positive home environment for all residents
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding resident well-being
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in direct care, personal care, or a related caregiving role preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with physical needs
