Summary

The Finance Director - Exteriors Segment owns forward-looking strategic finance partnership to set the direction of the Segment and drive achievement of its goals and objectives.

This leader owns annual planning, long-range planning, dynamic forecasting, and management reporting for the segment, and converts that work into actionable insight for the businesses. The role partners closely with segment and functional leadership on growth initiatives and major investments, NPI launches, go to market strategy, and execution of the R&D and new product pipeline. This role requires strong backbone, executive presence, and the ability to drive accountability as the primary finance business partner to the Exteriors Segment General Manager.

Successful candidates will offer a strategic perspective, demonstrated cross-functional influencing, and ability to lead, develop and coach a high-caliber team.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Business Partnering
  • Act as a forceful, trusted advisor and financial thought leader to the Commercial Finance Organization, General Manager and Product Leaders.
  • Bring clear, fact-based perspectives to trade-offs involving cost, service, risk, capacity, and capital-even when uncomfortable.
  • Challenge assumptions, escalate risks early, and prevent value leakage through disciplined decision-making.

Drive Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Partner with Product Management, R&D, Operations, and Commercial leaders to evaluate product roadmap choices, prioritize investments, assess cannibalization and substitution risk, and ensure product strategy is grounded in financial return and enterprise value creation
  • Lead efforts to optimize financial processes and incorporate best practices within the Business Unit and with peers
  • Lead financial business cases for new products, product enhancements, and major portfolio investments, including pre-launch assumptions, stage-gate financial review, post-launch performance tracking, and lessons learned to improve future investment decisions.

Operational Performance & P&L Accountability

  • Own product portfolio economics across Exterior Segment, including revenue, rebate programming and pricing, manufacturing costs, logistics, working capital, and operational margins.
  • Partner with Pricing, Sales, and Product leaders to shape pricing architecture, discounting guardrails, rebate strategy, and price realization governance across the product portfolio.
  • Drive rigorous performance management, variance analysis, and corrective action.
  • Translate operational complexity into clear executive-level insights and actions.

Risk, Resilience & Governance

  • Establish robust financial risk frameworks addressing market demand and supply chain volatility, input cost inflation, and disruption scenarios.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, governance, data integrity, and decision-quality reporting across the function.

Talent, Culture & Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing Product Finance organization with strong go-to-market, new product development, R&D, pricing, and portfolio management partnership.
  • Develop finance leaders who can operate confidently across all levels of the business
  • Set a culture of intellectual honesty, curiosity, problem-solving, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a visible champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Periodic travel between business unit locations and manufacturing sites as required.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Strategy, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or Master's in Finance preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with a focus on financial planning and analysis. Public company experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and business performance management applications. Experience with Hyperion/Essbase, Oracle, SAP, and JDE a plus.

What You'll Receive:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $180,700 to $234,900. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
