PGS Worldwide is seeking a Dimensional Control Technician in Palmdale, CA for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This is an entry-level, training-focused position supporting assembly tooling operations in a manufacturing environment. The technician will perform basic and repetitive dimensional control tasks while learning established processes under direct supervision.
Required Skills
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, including Special Access Program access, within a reasonable period as required.
- Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in warehouse and shop-floor environments.
- Ability to handle and assemble small parts and machinery.
- Ability to work any shift.
- Ability to work approximately 10% overtime.
- Ability to follow instructions, training procedures, and direction from supervisors and senior personnel.
What You’ll Do
- Support dimensional control activities within an assembly tooling environment.
- Perform basic and repetitive production and tooling-related tasks under direct supervision.
- Handle and assemble small components, parts, and machinery.
- Follow established work instructions, procedures, and training requirements.
- Learn dimensional control processes and techniques in a structured training environment.
- Work closely with training personnel, supervisors, and other team members.
- Escalate questions, problems, or unfamiliar conditions to higher-level personnel.
- Support shop-floor and warehouse activities in both indoor and outdoor work environments.
- Develop the technical skills required to progress into more advanced dimensional control responsibilities.
Work Schedule / Shift
- 4x10 schedule, Monday–Thursday.
- Must be able to work any shift.
- Approximately 10% overtime may be required.
