SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Digital Print Operator to join our production team on 3rd shift.In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining digital printing equipment while ensuring all jobs meet production specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on digital printing experience, strong mechanical and technical abilities, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues to keep production running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate a variety of digital printing equipment, including toner, inkjet, and wide-format inkjet systems.
- Run digital print jobs from setup through completion while following job tickets, work orders, and production specifications.
- Load and unload machines, clear paper jams, and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistent production flow.
- Monitor finished products for print quality, color accuracy, registration, and consistency.
- Perform quality control checks throughout the production process.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to help minimize machine downtime.
- Coordinate service calls when equipment repairs or additional technical support are needed.
- Manage and prioritize production schedules to ensure deadlines and production goals are met.
- Complete job tickets, production records, and other required documentation accurately.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of paper, ink, and other printing consumables.
- Communicate with other departments regarding production schedules, job requirements, and priorities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3–5 years of full-time digital printing experience preferred.
- Experience operating digital printing equipment, including toner, inkjet, and/or wide-format inkjet systems.
- Previous commercial printing experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to accurately read and follow job tickets, work orders, and production specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to evaluate print quality, color accuracy, registration, and consistency.
- Experience performing routine equipment maintenance is preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting digital printing equipment and coordinating service calls is a plus.
- Experience managing paper, ink, and other printing consumables is preferred.
- Experience with Ricoh 9210, Ricoh 8220, and/or OCE Titan 6180 equipment is a plus.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass required pre-employment screening, including a background check and drug test.
