Digital Product Owner – Grid Operations Technology

Shape the digital backbone of Electric Transmission

Join us in Glen Allen, VA, for a 12‑month engagement as a Digital Product Owner supporting the Operations Technology Solutions team within Electric Transmission. You’ll steer one or more bespoke digital products—built in-house and with third‑party partners—through the full lifecycle from spark of an idea to continuous improvement in production.

What your day looks like

You’ll translate vision into outcomes: defining roadmaps, curating and prioritizing backlogs, championing user needs, and coordinating delivery with engineering, IT, business stakeholders, regulatory partners, and vendors. You’ll track product performance and realized value, ensure compliance with regulatory, cybersecurity, and data-governance requirements, and advocate for product management best practices across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end product lifecycle: ideation, development, testing, deployment, support, measurement, and optimization.
• Craft product vision and roadmap; maintain a transparent, prioritized backlog.
• Champion users; convert insights into clear stories and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate internal teams and third‑party partners for predictable delivery.
• Define success metrics, monitor performance, and communicate value realization.
• Uphold regulatory, cybersecurity, and data‑governance standards.
• Elevate product culture, practices, and methods across the enterprise.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent mix of education and related experience.
• 5+ years in product management or comparable roles.
• Proven experience across digital product strategy, roadmap, backlog, delivery, release, and continuous improvement.
• Skilled at stakeholder and vendor engagement spanning engineering, IT, regulatory, business, and external partners.
