KDM is seeking experienced Digital Lead Operators to join our 2nd and 3rd Shift Production Teams in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is responsible for leading daily digital print production operations, ensuring quality standards are met, maximizing equipment performance, supporting team members, and driving production efficiency.

The ideal candidate has strong digital print production experience, leadership abilities, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Position Details

• Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• Compensation: Starting at $24.00+ per hour, based on experience
• Stay Bonus: Up to $2,500

Key Responsibilities

Production Leadership

• Lead and support digital press operators during daily production activities.
• Monitor workflow and ensure production schedules and deadlines are achieved.
• Coordinate job priorities with production management.

Digital Press Operations

• Operate and oversee digital printing equipment used to produce retail graphics, POP displays, signage, banners, and other printed materials.
• Ensure production meets quality, accuracy, and customer specifications.

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform machine setup, preventative maintenance, and equipment adjustments.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs when needed.
• Minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.

Quality Control & Color Management

• Verify print quality, color consistency, registration, and finished product specifications.
• Ensure corrective actions are taken when quality standards are not met.

Training & Team Development

• Assist in training and mentoring new and existing operators.
• Share best practices and provide ongoing support to team members.
• Promote safe and efficient operating procedures.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and operational excellence efforts.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of digital print, printing, graphics, signage, POP display, or related manufacturing experience
• Experience operating large-format digital printing equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or training team members
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred

• Experience with Inca, EFI VUTEk, Durst, HP, or similar digital print equipment
• Lead Operator, Team Lead, or Shift Lead experience
• Color management and print quality experience
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
