    A Day in the Life

    It’s 8:00 a.m. in Montgomery, AL 36117. Your first stop: a client site where a high-volume copier is throwing error codes. You diagnose the fault, swap a worn feed roller, recalibrate the unit, and run test prints to confirm crisp output. Before leaving, you walk the customer through what happened, note recommendations for preventive care, and log the visit in the service system. Back at your vehicle, you review parts on hand and restock from your inventory so you’re ready for the afternoon’s maintenance calls. Between visits, you catch up on the latest OEM bulletins and technology updates to stay sharp.

    What You’ll Do

    • Find and fix issues in copy machines and related office equipment through systematic troubleshooting.
    • Carry out scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep devices running at peak performance.
    • Deliver clear, friendly customer support; answer questions and resolve concerns on-site.
    • Record repair actions and preventive maintenance precisely in service logs.
    • Partner with teammates to streamline workflows and elevate customer satisfaction.
    • Stay current on industry trends and advances in copier technology.
    • Track and manage repair parts and supplies to ensure you’re always prepared.

    What You Bring

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or electronics certification is a plus.
    • Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining copiers or similar office equipment.
    • Strong diagnostic instincts and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and people skills.
    • Self-directed with strong time management.
    • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
    • Curiosity and adaptability to learn new technologies.
