    Description

Join us at the forefront of Amazon"s sustainability initiatives to work on environmental and social advancements to support Amazon"s long term worldwide sustainability strategy. At Amazon, we"re working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people.

The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon's scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.

The Sustainability Creative Team is seeking a Digital Experience Manager to serve as the human judgment layer at the center of our AI-powered content ecosystem. Generative AI has transformed how content is created, discovered, and consumed.

The durable differentiator is now strategic direction: the taste, standards, brand intelligence, and systematic thinking that ensures our digital properties deliver engaging sustainability content-not just to human readers, but to the AI models and generative engines that increasingly mediate how the world finds information.

This role supports the digital strategy for two flagship properties: theclimatepledge.com and sustainability.aboutamazon.com, with a core focus on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). You will partner directly with editorial and channels to ensure content is optimized for AI discoverability, bring the annual Sustainability Report to life across these properties and AI search alike.

The right candidate sits at the intersection of generative AI search, content strategy, and digital operations-equally comfortable producing AI-assisted content, building creative prototypes, and managing day-to-day site operations including the SIM ticket queue.

This role suits a self-starter with bias for action, high editorial standards, and excellent analytical skills to translate performance data into roadmap recommendations.

    Key job responsibilities

    GEO & Content Strategy

    • Partner with editorial to ensure stories, features, and site content are structured and optimized based on GEO principles-maximizing citation and surfacing in AI-powered search and LLM outputs
    • Craft and execute a third-party citation share strategy
    • Define and maintain content quality standards that serve as the brand intelligence layer for AI-generated and AI-assisted content-the signals, thresholds, and editorial guardrails that ensure our content builds brand authority, not just traffic
    • Monitor the evolving AI search landscape-including LLM behavior, AI Overviews, and generative search experiences-and adapt content strategy to maintain visibility and accuracy
    • Conduct content audits through a GEO lens: identify gaps across Amazon's portfolio of sustainability-related content where information is not being surfaced by AI models, and develop remediation strategies
    • Advise on how the brand should interact with generative AI systems-what great AI-assisted content workflows look like, and how to surface AI capabilities in ways that are trustworthy and editorially sound

    AI Creative Production & Prototyping

    • Produce high-quality content independently across modalities-including web copy, image, and video-using leading AI creation tools with hands-on fluency
    • Build working creative prototypes that demonstrate new content experiences, surface trade-offs, and create decision points for creative, editorial, and program leadership
    • Translate creative vision into actionable direction for AI-assisted workflows: define what great looks like when AI is part of the content creation process
    • Evaluate AI-generated outputs with a critical creative eye-providing feedback on quality, accuracy, and brand alignment that can inform model improvement and editorial standards
    • Stay current with emerging AI tools and techniques; bring a point of view on which tools and workflows should be adopted to scale content production without sacrificing quality

    Digital Operations & Partnerships

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of our flagship digital properties, including the SIM queue, content updates, quality assurance, and publishing workflows
    • Serve as the primary lead for website workstreams that support reporting and disclosures, including the annual Sustainability Report
    • Leverage analytics and performance data to surface actionable insights, influence the site roadmap, and drive measurable improvements in content engagement and AI discoverability
    • Coordinate cross-functional timelines between web, design, editorial, and reporting stakeholders to ensure content launches on schedule

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
