    Job Summary

    The Digital Engagement Lead provides oversight, direction, and strategy for multimedia and content creation, including social media, across the departments within Student Affairs. Leads the strategic measurement, analysis, and reporting of marketing, communications, and outreach efforts across platforms and channels, using data insights to inform decisions, optimize engagement, and assess impact.

    Salary Rate / Pay Rate

    $65,208 annual

    Required Qualifications

    1. Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or closely related field.

    2. Minimum of seven (7) years of professional level experience in marketing, communication, public relations, business, or related field, two (2) years of which must have included supervisory experience.

    3. Demonstrated ability to communicate proficiently with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

    4. Demonstrated ability to create and oversee marketing campaigns, particularly digital and social media campaigns in a higher education setting as well as experience creating and implementing staff training programs.

    5. Excellent leadership, planning, organizational, and managerial skills.

    6. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and to relate to a variety of internal and external clients.

    7. Experience with strategic planning and assessment from a campaign to a department level.

    8. Demonstrated ability to plan and implement effective data-driven marketing material that meets the milestones of an academic year for both organizational, student, and community audiences

    9. Experience capturing and synthesizing data and performance metrics in order to make analytics-informed decisions and suggestions

    10. Experience working with both cross-organizational and executive-level partners at both the department and institutional level

    Preferred Qualifications

    1. Masters of Business Administration Degree

    2. Demonstrated success with analyzing and resolving conflict, promoting team building, and navigating group dynamics with both internal and external parties.

    3. Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate and facilitate programs independently and with limited supervision.

    4. Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and project-oriented, think strategically, and maintain a strong attention to detail.

    5. Experience integrating artificial intelligence software into an effective workflow

    Work Hours

    Core hours 8am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday

    Functional Expectations

    Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

    The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.

    Illinois State University is authorized to do business within the State of Illinois. All work under this appointment is required to be performed from within the State of Illinois. If hired, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days from the start date for this position.
