JOB DESCRIPTION
The Digital Transformation Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional transformation initiatives that modernize business capabilities, operating processes, customer experiences, and enabling technology platforms. This role coordinates the planning and execution of complex digital transformation programs, with particular emphasis on digital commerce, omnichannel retail, enterprise systems integration, business readiness, and change adoption. The ideal candidate combines disciplined project management with a strong understanding of business process improvement, technology implementation, stakeholder alignment, governance, and transformation delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day project management for digital transformation initiatives across business, technology, operations, customer experience, digital commerce, and enterprise systems workstreams.
Develop and manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, status reporting, and governance routines for transformation programs.
Partner with business leaders, technology teams, operations stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners to coordinate activities, drive accountability, and maintain alignment across workstreams.
Facilitate transformation governance, including steering committee preparation, executive updates, decision tracking, escalation management, and leadership-ready reporting.
Translate transformation objectives into actionable workplans that align scope, resources, deliverables, timelines, dependencies, readiness activities, and business priorities.
Coordinate discovery, requirements-gathering, process design, solution design, testing, business readiness, cutover, launch, and stabilization activities.
Support scope and change control by documenting assumptions, decisions, change requests, risks, impacts, and implications for schedule, budget, resources, and business outcomes.
Collaborate with subject matter experts across merchandising, marketing, commerce, stores, customer service, supply chain, fulfillment, finance, HR, and IT to ensure enterprise-wide impacts are understood and addressed.
Manage communication across project teams, vendors, executives, business owners, and impacted stakeholders to ensure transparency, alignment, and timely decision-making.
Monitor overall project health, identify barriers to progress, and proactively recommend mitigation plans to reduce delivery, adoption, operational, and organizational risk.
Support vendor coordination, implementation planning, systems integration, data migration planning, platform rollout, and business adoption activities.
Ensure project documentation is complete, organized, and maintained, including project charters, integrated workplans, RAID logs, decision logs, status reports, meeting notes, stakeholder plans, readiness checklists, and cutover plans.
Coordinate testing and validation activities, including test planning, user acceptance testing, defect triage, issue escalation, sign-off tracking, and business acceptance.
Support change management and adoption planning by coordinating stakeholder communications, training inputs, process impacts, role changes, readiness activities, and post-launch support needs.
Serve as the project management bridge between transformation strategy and execution, ensuring initiatives are delivered in a structured, accountable, business-focused, and adoption-oriented manner.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
7+ years of experience managing digital transformation, technology implementation, business process improvement, omnichannel retail, digital commerce, or enterprise systems projects.
Demonstrated experience leading project planning, execution, governance, stakeholder coordination, risk management, change control, and delivery tracking for complex cross-functional initiatives.
Strong understanding of transformation delivery across business process, technology, data, operating model, customer experience, and organizational change dimensions.
Experience working with or around digital commerce platforms, enterprise applications, integration ecosystems, data platforms, and retail or customer-facing technology solutions.
Experience coordinating projects involving systems such as OMS, POS, ERP, CRM, PIM, WMS, digital commerce, middleware, analytics, payment, tax, fraud, or related enterprise platforms.
Proven ability to manage workshops, project meetings, status reviews, executive updates, steering committee preparation, stakeholder alignment sessions, and cross-functional decision-making processes.
Experience supporting vendor management, implementation planning, roadmap execution, testing coordination, business readiness, launch planning, change adoption, and post-launch stabilization.
