    Description:

    Registered Dietitian - Oncology & Infusion Center

    Make a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients. We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Dietitian to join our outpatient oncology and infusion team. In this role, you will provide individualized nutrition assessment, education, and support to patients undergoing cancer treatment, helping to improve outcomes, manage treatment-related side effects, and enhance quality of life throughout the cancer care continuum.

    What You'll Do

    • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for oncology and infusion patients, identifying nutrition risks and barriers to care.

    • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans based on evidence-based oncology nutrition practices.

    • Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and counseling to patients and caregivers on topics including weight management, malnutrition, treatment side effect management, hydration, and survivorship nutrition.

    • Collaborate closely with oncologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and other members of the cancer care team.

    • Monitor patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and other cancer treatments for nutrition-related complications.

    • Assess and manage patients requiring oral nutrition supplements, enteral nutrition, or other nutrition support interventions.

    • Educate patients on food safety, symptom management, and food-drug interactions specific to oncology treatment.

    • Document assessments, interventions, patient education, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).

    • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, patient care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.

    • Serve as a nutrition resource for staff, patients, and families while supporting best practices in oncology nutrition.

    Qualifications

    • Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, or related field (or Bachelor's degree meeting CDR grandfathering requirements).

    • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

    • Current Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) licensure or eligibility for licensure.

    • One (1) year of clinical dietitian experience preferred; oncology, infusion, outpatient, or acute care experience strongly preferred.

    • Strong knowledge of oncology nutrition, malnutrition, nutrition support, and Medical Nutrition Therapy.

    • Excellent communication, counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

    • Certification in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) preferred or willingness to obtain.
