This clinical role works directly with rehabilitation patients to assess nutritional needs, develop individualized nutrition plans, monitor nutritional status, provide education, and collaborate with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary care team. We are representing a nationally established inpatient rehabilitation organization seeking a Registered Dietitian for its Boise, Idaho hospital on a PRN/as-needed basis.

This clinical role works directly with rehabilitation patients to assess nutritional needs, develop individualized nutrition plans, monitor nutritional status, provide education, and collaborate with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.

Job Details

The Registered Dietitian will provide clinical nutrition services to rehabilitation patients, developing and monitoring individualized nutrition plans while supporting safe and effective dietary care throughout hospitalization and discharge planning.

• Assess patients' nutritional status and dietary needs
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
• Counsel and educate patients according to physician orders and prescribed diets
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinical disciplines regarding nutrition needs and patient progress
• Evaluate referral orders and determine appropriate methods of nutritional intake
• Document assessments, interventions, and progress in the medical record
• Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate nutrition recommendations
• Review, revise, and approve menus for nutritional adequacy
• Assist patients with therapeutic and special dietary requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration required
• Current Idaho licensure required
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution with a major in Food and Nutrition
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred
