Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dietetic Technician to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality nutrition care. In this role, you will collaborate with registered dietitians and healthcare teams to assess, plan, and implement dietary plans for patients and clients. Your contributions will play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assessment of patients nutritional needs under the supervision of a registered dietitian.
- Develop and implement meal plans, ensuring they align with medical and nutritional guidelines.
- Educate patients, clients, and their families about proper nutrition and dietary habits.
- Monitor patients' food intake, tolerance, and dietary progress, and report findings to the dietitian.
- Work with food service teams to ensure meals meet prescribed dietary requirements.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of nutritional assessments and meal plans.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote nutrition awareness.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Dietetic Technology, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Current Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) credential preferred or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare or food service environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and nutritional software is a plus.
- Registered Dietitian preferred
