Summary:
Duration: 59-day assignment
11:00am-7:00pm (including 60-minute unpaid lunch break); could be 8:00am-4:00pm PRN
Rotating weekends and holidays
Responsibilities:
Provide technical and administrative assistance to Clinical Nutritionist staff to ensure effective nutritional care of patients.
Calculate, prepare, deliver, and monitor mixed formula and breast milk under the direction of clinical nutrition leadership.
Interact with patients, visitors, and employees courteously, identifying self and explaining tasks clearly.
Complete tasks related to preparation of mixed formula, additives, and breast milk according to policies and procedures.
Maintain inventory of mixing room supplies, formulas, and enteral feeding equipment, ensuring necessary par levels.
Monitor breast milk inventory and communicate with patients' parents/caregivers as needed.
Maintain a clean work area and data logs, such as dishwasher temperature cleaning.
Prepare emergency feeds as needed and communicate with staff about feeding order changes.
Participate in community projects such as health fairs and maintain current knowledge of the field.
Perform duties ethically and compassionately, applying knowledge of age-disease-specific patient needs.
Follow infection control regulatory requirements and HAACP plan for formula and breast milk preparation.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Prior experience with WIC programs and formula preparation.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with infant/pediatric formulas and additives/fortifiers.
