    Description

    Job Title: Pediatric Dietitian – Dietary Services
    Location: Sacramento, CA
    Duration: 13 Weeks
    Shift: 5x8 Days | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    Job Overview:
    We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Dietitian for a 13-week assignment in Sacramento, CA. First-time travelers are welcome to apply! The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of work experience, including a minimum of 2 years of pediatric acute care experience in a hospital or ICU setting.

    Schedule & Requirements:

    • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Floating required
    • Weekend rotation with inpatient adult team approximately every 2 months or as needed
    • RTO must be submitted at the time of submission

    Required Certifications:

    • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN)

    Required Experience & Skills:
    Candidates should have strong experience in pediatric acute care nutrition support, including enteral and parenteral nutrition, nutrition assessments/reassessments, NFPE, therapeutic diet management, and treatment planning.

    Experience with the following conditions and therapies is preferred:

    • Diabetes, DKA, hypoglycemia
    • Heart failure, elevated cholesterol/triglycerides
    • Kidney disease, dialysis/hemodialysis/CRRT
    • Cirrhosis, IBS, chronic diarrhea, hyperemesis
    • Cancer, cachexia, chronic wounds, malabsorption syndromes
    • Dysphagia, aspiration safety, fluid/electrolyte balance
    • TPN, tube feedings, refeeding syndrome, protein calorie malnutrition
    • Medication-related nutrition management including insulin, steroids, diuretics, immunosuppressants, and laxatives

    The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong clinical judgment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the ability to manage complex pediatric and acute care nutrition cases.
