Dietary Services/Dietitian

The Clinical Dietitian functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, case management, and other clinical disciplines to optimize patient outcomes through individualized nutrition care. This position is responsible for identifying nutrition problems, developing evidence-based nutrition care plans, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation that reflects the patient s nutritional status and supports interdisciplinary treatment goals.

The Clinical Dietitian Inpatient Services provides comprehensive medical nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process for hospitalized patients across acute care service lines. This position is responsible for identifying nutrition problems, developing evidence-based nutrition care plans, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation that reflects the patient s nutritional status and supports interdisciplinary treatment goals.

The Clinical Dietitian functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, case management, and other clinical disciplines to optimize patient outcomes through individualized nutrition care. Special emphasis is placed on nutrition support for medically complex patients, malnutrition identification and documentation, and timely intervention for patients at nutritional risk.Facility Name: Marion General Hospital
