Food Service Team Members for multiple openings within the hospital's Nutrition and Food Services Department. Whether you have cooking experience, enjoy patient interaction, or thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, we have opportunities available for you!
Now Hiring:
- Cook - Starting at $16/hour
- Patient Meal Delivery Associates (Tray Passers) - Starting at $15/hour
- Dish Room Associates - Starting at $15/hour
Position Responsibilities;Depending on the role assigned, duties may include:
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare meals for patient service
- Operate grills, ovens, and other kitchen equipment
- Follow recipes and dietary requirements
- Portion and prepare food items
- Maintain clean and organized workstations
Patient Meal Service:
- Deliver meal trays to patient rooms
- Retrieve used trays from nursing units
- Communicate with nursing staff regarding meal service needs
- Assist with tray line operations
- Ensure accurate meal delivery and patient satisfaction
Dish Room & Sanitation:
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
- Scrape, sort, and process dirty dishware
- Remove trash and recyclables
- Maintain cleanliness of dish room and kitchen areas
- Support overall sanitation and food safety efforts
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must complete Cleveland Clinic onboarding and obtain required badge access
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and reading comprehension
- Previous cooking and food handling experience preferred for Cook positions
Available Shifts:
Cook I
- 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
- 3 days per week
Cook II
- 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
- 5 days per week
Tray Passer I
- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- 3 days per week
Tray Passer II
- 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
- 4 days per week
Dish Room Associate I
- 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- 5 days per week
Dish Room Associate II
- 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- 4 days per week
