Dietary Aide

Schedule: Mostly 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience

New Horizon Foods is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Dietary Aide to join our team at The Marquardt in Watertown.

This position plays an important role in providing quality meal service to our residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors, works well as part of a team, and is dependable and willing to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal setup and tray assembly.
• Serve and deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
• Assist with dining room and meal-service setup.
• Portion food and beverages according to menus and resident needs.
• Stock food, beverages, supplies, and service areas.
• Follow resident dietary restrictions, meal tickets, and special requests.
• Assist with basic food preparation as needed.
• Maintain proper food-safety and sanitation procedures.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and properly.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist cooks and other dietary staff as needed.
• Complete cleaning and closing responsibilities at the end of the shift.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous food-service experience is preferred.
• Senior living, healthcare, or CBRF experience is a plus.
• CBRF experience and/or training preferred.
• Willingness to complete required CBRF training after hire.
• Ability to follow meal tickets, menus, and dietary instructions.
• Knowledge of basic food-safety and sanitation practices.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Must be dependable and able to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to approximately 30 pounds.
