Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dining Services Shift Supervisor to oversee daily food service operations at a retirement community in Tulsa, OK. This leadership role is responsible for supervising kitchen and dining staff, ensuring meals are prepared and served on schedule, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service.

Required Experience & Skills
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in food service required
Experience with quantity food production, kitchen operations, or dining services management
Knowledge of sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety standards
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
Ability to make decisions quickly, delegate responsibilities, and work effectively under pressure
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must be able to pass a background check
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic REQUIRED
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise dining services staff during assigned shifts and ensure compliance with department standards
Monitor meal preparation and service to ensure food is served promptly and according to schedule
Review staffing schedules, identify coverage needs, and communicate concerns to management
Coordinate catering functions and special meal events for efficient execution
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards throughout kitchen and dining areas
Conduct sanitation inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Report equipment maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly
Assist with employee training, orientation, coaching, and performance support
Handle initial employee disciplinary matters in the absence of the Dining Services Manager
Complete administrative tasks and maintain effective communication with management and staff
Foster a professional, customer-focused environment that promotes resident satisfaction and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare, retirement community, or hospitality dining services
Customer service and team leadership experience
Basic scheduling, clerical, and administrative skills
Familiarity with food service compliance standards and inspections
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull food service supplies and equipment
Ability to work in hot, cold, and fast-paced kitchen environments
Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and perform repetitive tasks as needed
Work Environment
Commercial kitchen and dining facility within a retirement community
Exposure to food service equipment, cleaning chemicals, heat, cold, and busy meal service periods
