Job Summary
Robs Trucking & Truck Repair is looking for a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. We are a busy, hands-on repair shop that works on customer-owned trucks, fleet vehicles, and heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, and more.

Responsibilities 


  • Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, heavy equipment, and related systems
  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire work, brakes, and preventative services
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems on excavators, skid steers, and other heavy equipment
  • Use diagnostic tools and experience to quickly identify issues
  • Communicate clearly with customers about needed repairs and recommended services
  • Keep work areas clean and maintain accurate repair documentation
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment

Qualifications
 
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of diesel repair experience preferred (trucks and/or heavy equipment)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on a variety of equipment – trucks, excavators, skid steers, etc.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • ASE or other diesel/heavy equipment certifications a plus
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a small team
