Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $20-30/hr depending on experience
Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-5:30pm
Advance Services is seeking hardworking and dependable Diesel Mechanics to join a growing team! The ideal candidate will have experience working on trucks and trailers, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced repair shop environment.
Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks and trailers
- Complete DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine service work
- Operate welding and torch equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete repairs in a timely manner
- Accurately document repairs and inspections completed
Qualifications:- Previous diesel mechanic or heavy equipment repair experience preferred
- Knowledge of truck and trailer systems and components
- Ability to complete DOT inspections
- Welding and torch experience preferred
- Must have own tools
- CDL license is a plus, but not required
