    Position Summary

    Our Diesel Mechanic I are responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of diesel-powered equipment and machinery. This position supports safe and efficient operations by maintaining semi-tractors, trailers, heavy equipment, and other mechanical systems. The Diesel Mechanic I diagnoses mechanical issues, repairs hydraulic and electrical systems, completes required documentation, and ensures equipment is operating properly and in compliance with safety standards.

    Schedule

    Monday- Friday6:00 am- 4:00 pm

    Responsibilities

    Perform preventative maintenance services on diesel trucks, trailers, and fleet vehiclesComplete oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, brake inspections, and fluid checksAssist with diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, air brake systems, suspension systems, and electrical componentsConduct safety inspections and document repair findings accuratelyReplace basic mechanical components including belts, hoses, batteries, lights, and brake componentsUtilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectivelyMaintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environmentRespond to road calls or minor field service repairs as assignedFollow OSHA, DOT, and company safety standardsAccurately complete work orders and maintenance records using shop software systemsSupport senior technicians on larger repairs and rebuild projects
