Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including trucks, industrial machinery, and farm equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles and machinery operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. Job Responsibilities

 

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems using schematics and automotive electrical repair techniques
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance
  • Repair and fabricate parts using welding, power tools, hand tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical systems involving hydraulics, HVAC systems on heavy equipment, and powertrain components
  • Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers for testing or repair purposes
  • Perform alignment procedures and suspension repairs to maintain vehicle safety standards
  • Ensure all repairs comply with safety regulations and industry standards while maintaining detailed service records

Qualifications

 

  • Proven dealership experience or extensive heavy equipment mechanic background with a strong understanding of diesel engine repair
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs
    Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, and use of power tools for custom repairs or modifications
  • Knowledge of heavy truck repair including transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and vehicle electrical systems
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and electronic testing tools
    Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
  • Physical ability for heavy lifting, working in confined spaces or at heights as required during repairs
