Description

Our client in Chesapeake, Virginia is looking to fill an opening for a Deisel Mechanic in their Maintenance Department.
 
Job Description:
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience directly related to diagnosis, repair and maintaining mobile equipment, conveyors and bulk handling systems.
  • Experience with diesel engine repair, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting preferred. Overhead crane experience and welding a plus but not needed. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license 
  • Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair primarily off road equipment used in the loading, unloading, transfer and storage of bulk materials, including conveyor systems.
  • Move machinery and equipment to diagnose and repair.
  • Diagnose problems and make repairs to heavy equipment, cranes, loaders, dozers, etc.
  • Work from blueprints, schematics or verbal instructions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all terminal equipment.
Hours:
  • Monday – Friday 8AM – 430PM
  • Must be able to work 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am shift when the vessel comes in.
Pay:
  • $27.00/hour
