An established manufacturer and distributor is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair a fleet of diesel trucks, material-handling equipment, production equipment, and facility systems at a high-volume industrial operation. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced environment with overtime opportunities during peak seasonal periods.
Responsibilities:
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel-powered fleet vehicles
* Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and plant equipment
* Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, liftgates, and related vehicle systems
* Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues
* Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
* Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs as needed
* Review vehicle inspection reports and address mechanical concerns
* Maintain maintenance records and work documentation
* Manage parts inventory and coordinate repair-related purchases
* Communicate equipment status and maintenance needs with plant leadership
* Participate in on-call rotations during peak operating seasons
Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks
* Additional experience in heavy equipment and/or industrial maintenance is a plus
* Experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines
* Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
* Reliable transportation
* Ability to work overtime and participate in seasonal on-call rotations
* ASE certifications, mechanic licenses, or CDL are a plus
