    We’re hiring on behalf of a heavy equipment company for a diagnostic-minded mechanic who can maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mixed equipment fleets with confidence.

    What you’ll do

    • Own preventive maintenance schedules and prepare machines for customer use.
    • Diagnose diesel, hydraulic, and electrical issues; repair, refurbish, recondition, and adjust components.
    • Document work thoroughly and submit complete, accurate paperwork for every assignment.
    • Share time estimates with your supervisor early and update as jobs evolve.
    • Track parts, follow up on orders, and keep jobs moving to completion.
    • Keep tools compliant and safe per MSHA and OSHA; flag any unsafe shop tools, equipment, or vehicles to the Service Manager.
    • Participate in training directed by the Service Manager to stay current on new technology.
    • Independently troubleshoot engine problems; contribute basic programming where needed (controller/ECM).
    • Lift up to 50 lbs as tasks require.

    What you’ll need

    • 10 years of technician experience or a recent technical schooling degree.
    • Personal hand tools appropriate for heavy equipment work.
    • Extensive knowledge of heavy construction equipment systems.
    • Advanced ability to read and apply schematics and diagrams.
